Only Super admins listed as Webpage Approvers when feature enabled for other users

SOLVE

Hello 🙂

I'm testing the approval process for websites (official documentation)
I've assigned a user that's NOT a superAdmin a permission set which has approvals enabled for website pages

However, they are not visible in the approvers list:

Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @RLicau you're welcome and sorry for any confusion, I temporarily lost my access to the community and after a week away, I was moving through the replies a little quickly to get caught up.

Thanks for the updated screenshots and clarifying how you have the settings configured, you've got it right, that the non-super admin SHOULD be able to approve web pages if that toggle is on, AND they should show on the list of approvers.

Despite them not being on the list of approvers, can you have them log out and back in, to check if they can approve a website change?

It would be helpful to know if the user is lacking the permission or if you're lacking availability to see that they have the permission.

Once we narrow this down we can figure out the best path forward for getting it resolved.

Hi Jen,

This ended up working. So the only reason I can see is the fact that the user hadn't activated their account at the time of me testing.

Thanks a mil for your reply!

@RLicau the first screenshot you shared shows the "On" toggle greyed out for Approve Website Pages - this is the default appearance for a Super Admin, but your question states that the user is NOT a super admin. Can you confirm that the correct user settings are shown for the user who is NOT a super admin?

Hi Jen,
Thanks a mil for the reply.

I did a triple take and I'm still not sure I understood the 1st sentence.

When I go as a superadmin to check the user's individual permissions (not in the permission set), I see "Approve website pages" = On

permission sets are ON also

I think I took the screenshot using a user view, not a superadmin and that's why it was greyed out - as they couldn't edit this. But in all cases it's still ON (whether it's editable or non-editable/greyed out).

Does this help clarify?

So can ONLY superadmins approve pages? Because from the article I understand that non-superadmin users that have "approve website pages" = on can also show up on the approvers list.

If this permission is useful for these users to skip approvals, then I might have misunderstood the documentation.

Thanks in advance for your patience 🙂
