Moving off CMS - Keeping MarketingPro Subscription and SalesPro Seats - need some advice.

We are moving our website off HubSpot hosting to a new host provider but maintaining our MarketiingPro and SalesPro accounts. We will be maintaining our current landing pages and blog with HubSpot.
I have received some detailed advice from the HubSpot team on how to do this, but am looking for some additional advice to provide my tech team as they are still uncertain about the process.
Has anyone else done this? Is there any additional documentation out there for this process?
Here is what HubSpot has provided me in the way of directives: (in italic)
In order to change the subdomains for your Blog and Landingpages you will need to take the following steps:
Once these have been connected as redirected domains you will want to locate your current primary domains for your blog and landing pages. You will hover over the primary domain and select Replace Primary Domain (see screenshot). Your Redirect Domains will now appear as options! Here is more information on this: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/cos-general/how-do-i-change-the-domain-used-for-my-hubspot-content#cha...
Once you have replaced your domain for your Blog and Landing Pages, this should automatically update your pages URLs to the new domains.
That being said, once you are ready to connect www. to your new platform you can disconnect the HubSpot Website (which should be the only one left at this point) and connect www. in your DNS provider to the new platform.
This is about right from a domain redirection point of view.
One thing to bear in mind, after you follow this process, your blog posts will be located at something like blog.website.com/blog/....
If you don't plan on reversing this change, you could change the root URL of the HubSpot blog to just '/' getting rid of the subfolder. Having posts in a specific subfolder is useful for bulk redirection later though so an alternative could be to use a different subdomain so that blog isn't repeated.
