We have our blog in HubSpot and I'm wondering if there's a way to make the main blog page an actual website page; the only way we've been able to do it is with that being a template, but I want to be able to see analytics on things like what categories are most popular, etc. Is there a way to have the blog main page be an actual website page or landing page?
Is this typical? I don't really understand why there wouldn't be a page for the blog just like any other main website page. Any chance of this being an offering in the future?
Hmm, well there kind of is a page, its just automatically generated at the root location of whichever folder you specfiy as the blog location.
It shows up in the pages report, and engagement with topics (tags) can be seen in website analytics. Other than this, I'm not sure what additional information you are looking for that would be provided if the listing were a website page for example. Could you clarify?
I think I found the issue. I think our "main" blog page template was created as a blog template rather than a regular page, so it's meant to be used for blog posts instead of a website page. So right now we have a version of the template published, but it's not actually a full website page. Would that make sense?
I guess that makes sense with what I'm seeing; it just seems odd to have such a different setup for a typical navigational page--makes it less user friendly/intuitive.
