We'd like to create an easy opt-in subscription page, accessible from email invites and our website.
Right now, under our "manage preferences," you can only unsubscribe.
How can we set up a page for "new to us" folks who want to subscribe, externally accessible? Is there a way to do it as a landing page, without needing to code?
The workflow for this would enroll contacts based on "When filter criteria is met". You would then select the form submissions and email subscriptions:
Unfortunately, HubSpot doesn't let you specify whether a checkbox (property or subscription) was filled by the submission. Keep that in mind when you set up a welcome email. A contact might have theoretically been subscribed to subscription type 1, now they came back and ticked the box for subscription type 2. In other words, you definitely want to make sure before sending a welcome email (using an and/or branch) that they have not received the welcome email before or that they have not completed this same workflow before.

OK, I made up this form, and added 2 new contact properties - one for each type of subscription. I should be able to trigger subscription workflows off each field, correct?
@MManson not quite, can you click outside of any form element (for example a few pixels to the right if the submission button)? The left sidebar will reset and you should see a section in the left sidebar "Other form elements". In there, there's a GDPR drop-down. Select either the first or the second option. In either case, as a be t step, click into the the privacy text box that will by then have appeared above the submission button. You can the add actual subscription checkboxes (not custom properties) via the left sidebar. If that doesn't work, I can record a video.

I am having trouble creating a workflow - I can't seem to figure out how to say if they a) submitted this form and b) checked box (a or b). Any guidance helpful.
@MManson if you're seeing any text above the submission button, simply click on it and you can add additional checkboxes in the left sidebar.
If you don't, make sure to click into an empty area of the forms editor and the left sidebar will reset. You should see a section for "Other form elements" where you can display the consent notice text, then click into it, then add additional checkboxes in the left sidebar.
I'm referring ti the classic form editor. If you're using the new beta forms, the steps are different. Let me know and I'll update my response.

The by far simplest option is placing a website form on a landing page. This form would have few form fields (email would suffice). In the consent settings (click into the consent notice text, then scroll down the left sidebar), you can add additional checkboxes for each subscription type.
This would be openly accessible and show checkboxes for each subscription you have. It would however not reflect the current opt in status - that is not possible outside of a personalised page like the preference page.
Let me know of you have any follow-up questions!
