How can I use Landing Page feature without moving our current site?
SOLVE
Hi,
I'm trying to use the landing page feature within hubspot but it requires our domain to be able to do this. If I use the "Primary" domain to connect, does this mean our current site will be then transfered to hubspot?
Our site has an external developer, and we want it to reamin within WordPress as the CMS. But is it possible to just use hubspot for stand alone landing pages? If so, how do we go about setting this up without changing our DNS records to HubSpots?
If this is not possible, would it be best to set up a secondary domain to host landing pages through HubSpot?
You are correct that Hubspot is looking for you to add a domain and attached it to the Landing Page area.
Here you can see that our Landing Pages are hosted and built on Hubspot within their own domain. While the other 3 are hosted and built all on the same domain.
If you want to build landing pages in Hubspot, you need to connect a domain. As you said, you're website is already hosted and built elsewhere. So yes, a different domain connected to Hubspot for Landing pages. Doing this will not impact any of the setup for your existing website.
I'm just curious why you wouldn't build your landing pages within your WordPress site. A "landing page" is really just another webpage that has a few unique features:
limited content and very clear and direct call-to-action
no navigate in header or footer to keep the viewer focused on completing the call-to-action
typically a slightly modified template in order to stand out
You can accomplish all these things in your WordPress site if you think of a landing page as just a simplified webpage with a very clear and small focus.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply this was really helpful! We will set up a seperate domain for the landing pages.
To answer your question: We use wordpress as a CMS but the site is hardcoded by an external developer, this incurrs costs and takes time everytime we want to make any newv designs. With HubSpot's landing pages we could quickly lay out a design for a campaign and have full control for any changes.

Good to hear @DMarketing5! I completely understand wanting to build in Hubspot if your website is in that position. Perhaps you might consider transitioning your main website to Hubspot also at some point so you have more control over it also.
Best of luck to you!
