I have a landing page that uses one of my 3 subdomains in HubSpot and uses the only membership in my account to give access to contacts.
When a contact is added to a static list, the membership filter sends the email to complete the registration, that's where the error starts, HubSpot doesn't detect which subdomain it should send the email to and only sends the default email for a different subdomain of the landing page.
How can I configure in Hubspot that a membership belongs to a specific subdomain and that the correct email is sent?
If you have different subdomains and you want to use SSO for each, you would indeed need to set up separate SSO configurations for each subdomain.
HubSpot's limitation of one SSO setup per HubSpot-hosted subdomain means that each subdomain needs its own integration with the identity provider.
To achieve a seamless SSO experience across different subdomains, you would need to;
Configure separate SSO connections: Set up individual SSO configurations for each subdomain with the same identity provider. This involves creating separate applications in your identity provider, each pointing to a different HubSpot-hosted domain.
Consistent User Experience: While the setup requires separate configurations, you can use the same authentications, and you can use the same authentication method and credentials for users across these subdomains, providing consistent user experiences. Users will authenticate through the same identity provider even if they are accessing different subdomains.
If you are looking for other workarounds, I've seen this community post referring to the SSO app available in HubSpot's app market place which may also meet your goal. Although this is a 3rd party app, I would suggest checking its features to see if it's suitable for your organization.
I hope all of the above information provided clarity to your query!
