Error 404 after connecting domain with language settings off
SOLVE
Been trying for 2 days to no avail trying to get my Wordpress site working on hubspot.
After reading numerous other 404 posts, I have turned off the language settings and my website is still receiving a 404. I'm getting so frustrated that I'm on the verge of giving up on Hubspot and parking my domain back to hostinger.
I'm eager to upgrade but want to try the functionality first on a freemium.

@Franggi I just want to clarify something here - it looks like your website, implantarmy . com is hosted and built using WordPress.
If you connect the same domain to HubSpot, that will cause the settings for WordPress to be overwritten.
It is not possible to connect the same domain to more than one CMS.
The way you have the domain configured in the screenshot is not possible unless you are planning to rebuild and relaunch your website in HubSpot.
If that's the case, you'll need to build your website first, then make the DNS change and the new HubSpot website will show.
If you are trying to use your domain in HubSpot for landing pages, blog, etc. and not your website, then you would need to connect a subdomain instead of your existing root domain.
For example, you could connect info . implantarmy . com in HubSpot while keeping your website live in WordPress.
I saw your website is live again in WordPress so I just wanted to clarify why this was all happening in case you want to get everything configured in HubSpot.
If my reply answered your question please mark it as a solution to make it easier for others to find.

I've gone through all these steps and I still get a 404 error if my main domain name is typed. However, if it's the domain/home it works fine...sadly there's no way for me to just create a page with just my main domain as it's always asking for a /"page name". My DNS entries are all correct and completed all things in this forum and still not working and it's been well over 24hrs since I changed my DNS to Hubspot.

Ok got it. The only place you can remove the slug without getting the error messages is in the specific webpage that you want to remove the slug. Hit the webpage settings icon then go down to the Page URL Section and edit it there.

Hi @SZiesmann I'm sorry, your screenshot doesn't load (it doesn't recognize attachments from email replies in the community thread) so I can't see the button.
You can create the page with a slug and then remove it from the settings - if you don't mind adding the screenshot directly to the community reply, I can verify this and kick it to the HubSpot team to see if they can resolve for home pages to make it more clear/possible.

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for your explanation above.
Would you mind explaining how to reverse this connection of the main domain to HubSpot? Our website, which was initially connected via WordPress, has been showing a 404 error since yesterday

Hey @Franggi thank you for posting in our Community!
Please verify that the DNS records have been updated correctly in HubSpot by clicking on the settings icon in the main navigation bar, and then navigating to Website > Domains & URLs in your HubSpot account.
If the domain is disconnected, click "Reconnect." If the domain connection is incomplete, click "Continue." You can also review any errors in your DNS records in the Verify URLs step of your setup in HubSpot.
Log in to your DNS host and confirm that the CNAME records match the Host (name) and values provided by HubSpot during the connection process If the DNS records have been updated correctly, click either "Refresh" or check them again in the domain setup within HubSpot to confirm the updates.
Additionally, you can reach out to your domain provider for further troubleshooting if needed.

Hello,
Thank you for replying. I have changed the DNS settings in cloudflare according to Hubspot DNS settings. Everything is connected however my website continues to appear as a 404.
After you’ve connected your domain or email sending domain, it can take up to 24 hours for the DNS changes to propagate and reflect in HubSpot. If your domain isn't connecting as expected after 24 hours, follow the steps below to troubleshoot your domain.
