Hello, could anybody shed light on the current problem we have. Our company is international (newly so) and we are in dire need of an AU and NZ version of our website here for marketing reasons.
The problem is, in the UK they dont have the time to create this for us (they currently use umbraco and are building a new one on Magnolia atm) so we thought we will create an interm site for AU/NZ here for the time being, through Hubspot.
Are we able to use the same www.company.com domain in hubspot too, but use the multi-language settings? Where the slugs would show as www.company.com/en-au/ and www.company.com/en-nz/ - or is it not possible for domains to be used in multiple CMS's?
Our only other option it seems is to purchase the .au and .nz versions of our domain and create two separate new websites.
Hi Jess, We can connect any domain to your HubSpot account. For more information, please refer to this article: Connect a Domain to HubSpot. However, since your primary brand domain (e.g., www.company.com) is already configured with another CMS, connecting it to HubSpot may result in website downtime or crashes. To avoid this, we recommend purchasing a new domain to connect with HubSpot. Once connected, we can develop localized versions for Australia (AU) and New Zealand (NZ) by implementing multilingual variations within HubSpot.
@JCodrington It isn't possible to use the same domain unless you get into reverse proxy and that can be very complicated and pricey if it's not something you're already doing or familiar with.
The best option would be to purchase the .au and nz version and run them independently, you could still use multi-language variations with the domains instead of the language slug which would make it easier to manage both versions.
An alternative would be to create a subdomain, so instead of www. you could have something like apac. (if you want to still use the /en-au and /en-nz and not have to purchase two brand domains).
If you do have two separate domains, it will require you to purchase an additional brand domain as your account would typically only include one.
