Does changing blog template change settings?
SOLVEFeb 4, 2019 4:32 PM
We are interested in updating our blog template but aren't sure how it will impact other features of the blog such as the categories, CTAs, campaigns, topics, etc., which we already have in place and don't want changed.
If we migrate over to a new template (which we definitely need) can we expect all of our settings and campaigns, etc., to seamlessly transfer to the new template, or will we have to start CTAs, topics, and categories from scratch?

Hi @BrianASCI
Changing a blog template does not change the default features provided by HubSpot (eg. categories, CTA, tags, campaigns etc.). However, a new template will have a new design, so it might break the designs. The widgets might not appear as it used to appear before. You might need the help of web designer/developer.
I would suggest creating a brand new blog for the test purpose. You can create a new blog from blog settings. And then apply the new template. Tweak the design as needed. And then re-use that template & CSS in your existing blog.
Thanks.
