Docs/knowledge base domain

Hi,

We are transitioning to a new documentation system for our technical docs, so it is an opportunity for us to decide if we do it as:

docs.company name.com

or

company name.com/docs

Our website is on Hubspot CMS, will it cause any issues, or is there any special setup we will need to make if we choose company name.com/docs ?

Other than SEO in which company name.com/docs is better, any other pros and cons we should consider?

What I've seen most of time for different companies is having a subdirectory for this specific situation. So I would say name.com/docs as it's more like a ressources page.

Subdomain is usually used for blog, support and events. 

However for pros and cons, there are many aspects to take into account. I would suggest to you to take a look at this Hubspot blog article.
