DNS resolution Error 1001 (namecheap domain)

SOLVE

I recently connected my namecheap domain to Hubspot and am getting this error now.

Over on namecheap I have set up 2 A records with the same @ and IP address value (which seems weird to duplicate it but I tried following instructions exactly)

I think I'm missing a CName record. But it didn't tell me to add one during the setup process

Thanks for your help!

DNS resolution Error 1001 (namecheap domain)

Hi @gbyron ,

You're right that there shouldn't be 2 values that are exactly the same. Often, one of them has an extra digit. Check the numbers and try again. Also, what does Hubspot say within the Domain settings section? Usually, that gives an indication as to why the error might be showing up.

I've just checked the error code and this page suggests that maybe the domain you're trying to connect is not using Cloudflare, hence the error.

I hope this helps,

Eli

Thanks @elizheleva. I am wondering if the issue is that while I added the two A records, I didn't add any CNAME records? From this article: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/domains-and-urls/update-your-dns-records#instructions-by-dns-provider

Where do I find my Hubspot's CNAME address?

You're right, one of the addresses had 1 extra number, so they're correct now
