DNS error while issuing SSL certificate
SOLVE
Hello everyone,
I’m currently experiencing a DNS record issue while trying to issue an SSL certificate for my domain, emiplan.nl. The error indicates that a DNS record is either missing or incorrect, and as a result, the SSL certificate cannot be issued.
I have already configured the CAA record for pki.goog, and the necessary .acme-challenge TXT record is in place. Despite these configurations, I'm facing an error that’s particularly perplexing: "[missing {{ recordName }} value] record should read:". This message isn't giving me much to go on.
Here's what the error message looks like:
Has anyone encountered a similar issue or does anyone know which DNS record the error message is referring to?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If additional information is needed, I’m happy to provide it.
Normally when something like this happens it resolves itself in about 24hours or so. It usually occurs due to a transitional period for your DNS settings.
If this is still occuring outside of this timeframe however, I've seen this happen when a domain provider or previous hosting provider still has an SSL cert provisioned over the domain before it's transferred to HubSpot. HubSpot will always issue a cloudflare SSL cert by default when a domain is connected, if there's a previous SSL cert already provisioned on the domain it may cause conflicts. It might be worth verifying with your domain provider and/or previous site hosting provide (if applicable) that they has decommissioned any certs issued on that domain.
