Custom Domain Not Working Despite Correct DNS Configuration and Language Settings
SOLVE
I'm experiencing an issue with connecting my custom domain to HubSpot. Despite having everything configured correctly, my website shows "This page is unavailable" when accessed through my domain.
Current Status:
My domain shows as "Connected" in HubSpot
DNS records are correctly configured in GoDaddy
CNAME for www is correctly set
All languages are set to English (for domain, subdomains, and page)
HubSpot support confirmed SSL activation is complete
Website is published but shows "This page is unavailable" when accessed
What I've Tried:
Verified DNS records are correct (confirmed with whatsmydns.net)
Set language to English for all domains and pages as suggested by HubSpot support
Unpublished and republished the website
Cleared browser cache and tried in incognito mode
Tried both HTTP and HTTPS versions
Tried both root domain and www subdomain
Waited over 24 hours for DNS/SSL propagation
The strange thing is that HubSpot shows everything as correctly configured, but the site remains inaccessible. Even the default HubSpot domain (48373567.hs-sites.com) shows the same error.
I'm on the free plan, so my support options are limited. HubSpot chat support suggested checking language settings, which I've now done, but the issue persists.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can suggest additional troubleshooting steps? I'm at a loss for what else to try, and this is preventing me from launching my business website.

update: The site is back.
It looks like the certificate had expired or similar.
I have no idea if my tinkering nudged anything but for for future help here it is.
On the settings/Domain & URLs page: in the primary domains table, I clicked the Actions button and selected Verify SSL certificate. This opened to a failure page saying the cert had expired, but also that it could not be verified. 5 minutes later I retried and the certificate was valid and the website was back in play.
I hope this helps someone else when they bump into this problem.

I've explored the web requests from my browser. It appears this is at the Hubspot server end. has some work been done to lock down certificates or change certificate protocols? Google trust posted that a change would be occuring next year, but nothing that occurs now. info from analysis here:
This request is for the main HTML document of the websitenews.wellingtonworkshop.nz. The method is most likely aGETrequest.
The0status code indicates that the request failed before a full response was received. This makes it difficult to analyze the SSL information provided by the server.
However, we can glean some information from the request headers:
The presence ofUpgrade-Insecure-Requests: 1in the request headers indicates that the client is attempting to connect using HTTPS. This is a good practice for security, as it ensures the connection is encrypted.
Since the request did not complete successfully (indicated by the0status code), we cannot see details about the SSL certificate provided by the server, such as its issuer, validity period, or cipher suite used for the connection. A successful request (e.g., with a 200 status code) would typically show more detailed SSL/TLS information in the DevTools network panel.
The "Connection start (stalled)" timing also suggests a problem during the initial phase of establishing the network connection, which includes the TLS/SSL handshake process. This stall could be related to issues with the server's SSL certificate or the network path to the server.

Thanks so much for your support on this! I wanted to share some additional context based on my testing and findings:
Initial Setup:
I initially had the language toggle set to "off" as recommended in various community posts.
When that didn't work, I tried turning the toggle "on," but it still didn't resolve the issue.
What Worked:
The only combination that ultimately worked was enabling the language settings under Domains & URLs, and then adding a slug.
This approach successfully applied the language setting, but it now requires a slug, which is not ideal given that I only have a simple one-page website.
Current Setup and Preferences:
My website is minimal with only a single page, and I originally did not need or want a slug.
I am currently on HubSpot's free plan and using GoDaddy for my domain.
I am okay with just having English as the primary language, without multiple language options or slugs.
If anyone can advise on how I can make the website work without a slug, that would be amazing. At least the site actually works now, which is a huge improvement considering the previous 20 attempts didn't resolve it.
Thanks again for your continued support! Thanks again, Dhvani

Hi Team, I'm getting exactly the same issue with my website that has been running perfectly for 8 months or more. I wonder if Google just pulled the certificates (Hubspot uses a google SSL by default) or tightened up th3e need for a CAA record (A real pain as my host doesn't offer them by default) site: https://wellingtonworkshop.nz

Thank you for the suggestion. I only have a single page on my website (the homepage), but I tried your recommendation:
I added a slug to the page (I used "home"), saved it
Then removed the slug again, saved it
Republished the page
Unfortunately, this didn't resolve the issue. The site still shows "This page is unavailable". Even the default HubSpot domain isn't working, which makes me think it might be an issue with how my account is provisioned on HubSpot's servers rather than just a caching issue.
What's peculiar is that HubSpot shows my domain as properly connected, SSL activation is complete, and I can preview the page within the HubSpot editor. It's just not accessible via any external URL.
At this point, I'm not sure if it's a me issue, a HubSpot issue, a GoDaddy issue, or if it's related to being on a free HubSpot account. I was planning on upgrading to a paid plan, but since this basic site doesn't work, I'm considering building it on a different platform altogether.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation where even the default HubSpot domain doesn't work? Any other troubleshooting steps I could try?

Hi Josh,
Thank you for your response. Yes, I do have a page set as my home page without a content slug. Here's a screenshot of my page settings:
And here's what the error looks like when I try to access my site:
To clarify some additional details:
The error is definitely a HubSpot-hosted error page (it shows the HubSpot styling with "This page is unavailable. If you believe this is a mistake, please contact the website owner.")
HubSpot shows my domain as "Connected" in the Domains & URLs section, and support confirmed my SSL activation is complete.
I've set all language settings to English as suggested by support.
I've tried accessing through both:
Root domain: csadminservice.com (both http and https)
