Hi

My client has been having trouble viewing two pages on their website hosted on your platform, that used to work. Both have been published yet when visiting the links, it returns 404.

Trying to resolve issue

Been trying to diagnose and fix the above issue using the page https://www.finer-things-in-life.co.uk/clarice-cliff

Been going through various commmunity disccussions trying their solutions:

  • Clear browser cache
  • Revert to an old revision
  • Unpublish, clone affected and publish new
  • Make sure language is not set
  • Change domain slug for the page

One of them highlight this page and went through these troubleshooting steps.

Troubleshoot content issues - Published content is displaying a 404 error

Still no joy. 😞

Any help is very much appreciated.

@PBurden This has popped up a few times in the community, if you unpublish the page completely and then publish it again that should resolve the 404 error. If that doesn't work, you'd need to submit a ticket for technical support.

I have went through various 404 solutions on the community discussions with no joy.  This includes unpublishing and re-publishing the page.

Cloning the page kind of works.  After waiting for a few minutes, I can see it published, however when exchanging the slug from the cloned to the original slug url, it fails.

It is a FREE account and I have no ability to creating a support ticket, unless I am missing here?

I have even created a test page and this shows a 404 page for a little while, and then it works.

After some experimenting, I have managed to get page "Clarice cliff" to work.  The hyphens no longer work in the slug urls.

This works

This fails

Hi @PBurden and @Jnix284, Thank you for your patience. I have received information from the team regarding the issue.

The URL redirect at this link currently has the setting "Disable redirect when a page exists at the requested URL" enabled. When this setting is selected, we do not support serving it pre-rendered. Unfortunately, this means that these URL redirects are not usable for CMS-free accounts, as we only provide pre-rendered content for them.

Moving forward, the recommendation from the team is to remove the "Disable redirect when a page exists at the requested URL" setting from this redirect, and it should begin to load as expected again.

Hope this helps,

Diana

@PBurden I'm glad you found a solution to get the pages live again, it is very strange that this was happening. I'll tag in the @CommunityTeam to see if they can share this with support since there are others experiencing the same issue.
