CSS / Javascript template keeps breaking

Hey all, 

Over the past couple of weeks, I have had issues with my blog files not displaying properly. 

Instead of the properly formatted template, I get javascript showing up on the page and completely overwriting the content. 

• I have not made any changes to the template 
• this is a hubspot provided template so I can't make any changes to it 
• it appears the same on multiple browsers, devices, and networks
• it seems to be related to the blog pages, not the main page 
• At some point the problem seems to correct itself and return to normal

My gut feeling is that there is a problem with the CSS file being served up from the hubspot repository that eventually gets corrected, but I am not sure. 

Is there something I can do to resolve this issue myself (other than moving to a different platform)?

Hey @Critchlow, as a test, you could try to clone one of your blog posts or create a new one with the same template to see if the same issue occurs on the new page! 

Additionally, that last updated date should only apply to the times it has been manually updated in HubSpot, so that date will likely always be the date you installed it!

Thanks for the response. 

At this point, I have moved my website off of hubspot and onto an AWS wordpress site. 

The very small price to host the website there is worth the control that I have so that no-one breaks the site underneath me in the future. 

fwiw, before I switched the DNS over, the error was occuring on all of my existing blog posts. 

Good to know that the last update date isn't actually the last update date. 😞

Hi @Critchlow,

There is an issue with your theme/template; all HubL codes are printed as they are instead of being executed. That's why none of your CSS and JS files are loaded. 

I would recommend reaching out to the theme/template developer.

While that seems like a reasonable idea, the design manager says that none of the templates have been updated since 2022.... 

So if they haven't changed, why would the pages not be working anymore?

Hi @Critchlow! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here 😊

When you say the template is provided by HubSpot, are you referring to a template provided within a theme from the Marketplace? These are not all built by HubSpot, so it may be useful to double-check the provider of the template if you suspect it is coming from the template CSS. Often the Marketplace listing has a contact option for the provider. Could you attach a screenshot of your template in the design manager for a better view? 

I want to invite some subject matter experts to see if they have any suggestions.

are you referring to a template provided within a theme from the Marketplace?

Yes. 

It is the "Real_Thor_free" theme 

The last time this happened (within the past week), the pages reverted to normal without me doing anything.... 

I can't access it in the design manager....
