Hi HubSpot community, I recently launched a blog focused on gaming guides and mods, especially for classics like GTA San Andreas. The issue I’m facing is that my blog pages aren’t getting indexed on Google, despite following SEO best practices. Meta tags and descriptions are optimized. Submitted a sitemap in Google Search Console. No crawl errors reported. It’s been a few weeks, and still no improvement. Could this be a problem with HubSpot’s blog settings, or is there something I’m missing? Has anyone else experienced similar issues? I’d love some advice on how to get my blog properly indexed. Thanks a lot!
I totally get how frustrating it can be when your blog isn’t getting indexed. While things like poor content quality, duplicate content, and blocked pages due to technical issues will require immediate attention, it may also be that the page was blocked from indexing for a good reason, and you don’t need to do anything at all.Since you’ve already optimized meta tags, submitted the sitemap, and checked for crawl errors, here are a few things you might want to look into:
Check for "noindex" Tags – Sometimes, HubSpot settings might accidentally add a (noindex) tag to your blog pages. Double-check in Settings > Website > Pages > SEO & Crawlers to make sure indexing isn’t blocked.
Request Indexing Manually – Even though you submitted the sitemap, try going to Google Search Console > URL Inspection Tool, enter a blog post URL, and hit "Request Indexing". This forces Google to recrawl your page.
Internal Linking & Backlinks – Google finds pages faster when they’re linked from other indexed pages. Try adding internal links to your blogs from your homepage or other high-traffic pages. Also, sharing your blogs on forums, social media, or getting backlinks can speed up the process.
Check Google’s Index – Do a search for (site:yourblogurl.com) on Google. If your homepage shows up but not your blogs, there might be an issue with discoverability.
Domain Age & Authority – If your blog is brand new, indexing can take some time. Keep publishing, share your content, and work on growing your authority with backlinks. You can use free tools for this such as Moz, backlinko etc.
HubSpot Blog Settings – Make sure "Enable search engine indexing" is turned on in Blog Settings under SEO options.
If you’ve checked all this and still no luck, it might just be a waiting game. Sometimes, Google takes its time. But keep pushing content, building links, and engaging with your audience.
Had a similar issue before. Sometimes new blogs take time to get indexed. Have you checked if your pages are in the 'Discovered - not indexed' section in GSC? Also, try building a few backlinks to speed up indexing.

Hi @jamiesmith11! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here 😊
Your blog sounds awesome! Do you see any messaging or responses in GSC? It is a good sign that we don't see errors. As @Jnix284 mentioned in a similar post, sometimes these indexing requests can take some time based on Google's prioritization (Google not indexing blog articles). How long ago did you submit your site map?
Best,
Kennedy
