Event Recording | The Miseducation of Being an Anti-Racist with HmntyCntrd
In the midst of the racial violence enacted upon the Black community and humanity in the summer of 2020, there was a resurgence of the discourse of anti-racism that called on White America to confront and recognize the terrorization, brutalization, and dehumanization of Black folk in America. Unfortunately, this resulted in the (mis)education, (mis)information, and (mis)application of allyship, advocacy, and importantly, what it means to be an anti-racist. In this fireside chat, we will explore how we can interrupt and interrogate the superficial and performative posturing and engage in a political love that is based on radical solidarity. Join Founder of HmntyCntrd, Vivianne Castillo, and Danielle Hodge, Facilitator at HmntyCntrd for this needed conversation.
