Hey Everyone!
On April 24th HubSpot and LinkedIn launched LinkedIn CRM Sync - a new integration between HubSpot and LinkedIn that supercharges the LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience with a powerful two way integration. Now, I'm excited to be joined by the HubSpot product team to answer your questions about LinkedIn CRM Sync.
Not sure what to ask, or want to learn more? Feel free to ask about:
How to set up the integration, and sync contacts between systems.
How to update contacts, companies and more in HubSpot using LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Best practices for reaching out to contacts in LinkedIn Sales Navigator - (Hint: it's gotten a lot easier now)
Want to learn more about LinkedIn CRM Sync? Be sure to check out our Community Post from the launch. Look forward to answering your questions here!

Hey There - this integration requires LinkedIn's Sales Navigator Advanced plus plan. You can find more information here on the app marketplace listing!

Thanks for setting this up!! 🙂
I have a LONG list of feedback (was already part of the early beta testing of this), but my main questions here are: 1. When can we map against Company properties, to keep data in sync with Sales Nav? For example, employee size etc.
2. Right now the mapping/matching to companies is a bit of a black box: will we be able to decide what to match against? We have a matching rate of 96% (out of 550K Companies), which I have a hard time believing can be real. No other data enrichment tool gets anywhere near that, so it's hard for me to trust this. 3. When can we expect to bring more elements from Sales Nav into Hubspot, perhaps as reports or cards. Thinking of the relationship maps, or Account IQ info. Anything really.

Hi Peter!
For your 1) and 3) I'll transparently take these as very solid feedback points back to Linkedin. I totally get those requests - if only that information would be exposed over their new API we'd tap into it. Or if they'd provide that functionality in their own app so that buttons in their app could send webhooks to us to do exactly that (e.g. Linkedin Sales Nav offers the ability to e.g. update a contact, but it doesn't offer the ability to update a company).
When you're referencing other elements like relationship maps, I take it you need that as actual datapoints in HubSpot? Or is this about adding more things in the CRM side card?
2) About your crazy high matching rate - it's a black box for us too. Then again, it's Linkedin after all - they do have a lot of datapoints to cross reference your data with. It doesn't require exact matches (more info). Have you identified cases where it matches wrongly? Spotchecked a couple of companies in Linkedin that you know you have in HubSpot and seen that the CRM Badge tells you something else?
When you're referencing other elements like relationship maps, I take it you need that as actual datapoints in HubSpot? Or is this about adding more things in the CRM side card? Either would be fine for me, but preferably even on a CRM card in the middle pane, on Company level
Have you identified cases where it matches wrongly?
Not yet, but then again we have 550K Companies and as our data fill rate on those fields that they say they match on is mediocre at best, I have my suspicions: I would love better insights. Also, thinking: how do they handle duplicates?
For context on why why it's such a big thing for me: I am in the middle of a huge project to drastically improve this fill rate and quality/recency of the data we have.
I have already sent a long list of requested improvements to Linkedin, but happy to discuss with you and team as well 🙂

Hi Bérangère - Here's a quick Loom on what makes the CRM Sync different, or rather, a complement to, the integration with Linkedin Sales Nav that we've had for a while!

Hello!
We are already using the connection between Sales Navigator and our CRM!
... but we keep encountering a recurring issue that we don't understand: when we try to create a contact record from Sales Navigator (with the company already created in HubSpot), and complete the form in Sales Navigator with the basic information, we always get the same error: "Wrong country code. Check your CRM’s standardized codes and try again."
We are using a custom contact field, "Country code" which is filled by a workflow depending on the Country, but I can't see a relation between this field and Sales Navigator. Furthermore, Sales Navigator's field mapping defaults to the "Country/Region" field in HubSpot, which we don't use directly...
LinkedIn has informed us that "The country code should be a validation rule they have under HubSpot (e.g., FR=France / IT=Italy....). So you will need to check those under the Contact Object setup and bypass it to allow the API call."

Hi Eli,
you are trying to create a contact out of LSN which - essentially - in the background fires off a webhook towards HubSpot with all the info necessary to create a contact in HubSpot. In this case HubSpot is replying with an error message, which Linkedin in turn translates to that specific error message.
It's likely that you have record-creation-validation processes active in your portal that are preventing that smooth handoff... and particularly what could cause this is if you have some property settings that are deviating from the default. For example, if this is checked in your out of the box (hubspot made) 'country/region' property, it won't work (settings --> objects --> contacts --> property settings)
