What Data Hub Features / Use Cases will require credit usage?

Data Syncs are the only feature that requires credits. Data Syncs occur when you activate data in Data Studio across Segments, Workflows, or directly syncing to the CRM.

Can you share a roadmap of future anticipated features and functions as Data Hub comes online, please?

In Data Studio, we are planning on adding the following new features as well as other smaller improvements to usability. Things are subject to change here, but these are some of the bigger picture things we've identified.

- Expanding our external data source connection catalogue
- Supporting the ability to union data between sources 
- Public APIs for Data Studio actions
- Multi-object sync for external app sources
- Supporting association and association label management in the Data Studio's Sync-to-CRM actions.

One follow-up on this @MattCondit: I asked at one of the stages in San Francisco if in-line editing would also be coming to Data Hub as it's working with injested sources, and the presenter indicated it would be (for spot remediations before pushing to the CRM). Is this what you mean by "union data between sources?" Thanks!

Same question as @katherineladue - initial focus is on what does Data Hub mean for our clients who already have Operations Hub? And what, if any, are the impacts to the client that we need to be aware of when the transition is made? Thanks!

Hey @Jonno_Price!

We've been migrating existing Operations Hub customers to Data Hub since the announcement on September 3rd.

All existing Ops Hub customers will be moved to the equivalent tier of Data Hub (e.g. OH Pro to DH Pro). Customers aren't losing access to any features from Ops Hub, and any existing usage of Ops Hub features won't be impacted in any way when the switch happens (e.g. custom code actions will keep running!).

Our portal already shows this as Data Hub and I looked at some of our clients and there's do as well.  I am sure yours will update soon.

Does a pre-existing subscription to Operations Hub get replaced by a Data Hub subscription automatically, and then the new Data Hub features are available based on your Ops Hub subscription level?

Is the Data Studio something that could replace an integration with a platform like Salesforce? Is there a list of which external sources are supported?

Regarding the list of external sources supported in Data Studio: 
All the data sync apps,  BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS S3, Google Sheets, Excel 365 are supported.
In addition, you can also upload CSV, XLSX, XLS and TSV files.

Correct! For example, if a customer had Operations Hub Pro, they'll now have Data Hub Pro. 

You'll still need to opt in to the data studio and data quality betas, though. You can do so from the product updates page in your portal. 

Once those features become generally available later this year, all Data Hub customers will have access by default.

Does this sync data back from HubSpot into the connected app once it's been cleaned up, or would that have to take place with a separate integration setup?

No, Data Studio does not sync data back to connected apps.
