New features on the Community

We are excited to announce two new features that have been released in our Community today. These improvements represent our ongoing effort to create a Community focused on connecting users and empowering users to grow better. We hope you are excited about these new features.

1. Groups

We introduced a new area of the Community focused on connected like minded HubSpot users to discuss different aspects of HubSpot’s products and the HubSpot ecosystem. You will see eight different categories of Groups introduced.

  1. North America
  2. Asia Pacific
  3. Europe - Middle East - Africa
  4. Latin America
  5. Industry
  6. Interests
  7. Product
  8. Skills

The regional categories are specific to our HubSpot User Groups (HUGs) to provide discussion spaces for these HUGs. If you’re interested in joining a HUG, you can request to join the group to learn more information. For more information on HUGs, check out this HUG resource.

The Industry category is a gathering spot for HubSpot customers working in similar industries. We know that HubSpot customers work in a lot of industries and we’ll continue to expand our industry focused groups over time.

The Interests category houses groups focused on the interests of HubSpot users like you. This will also be where we’ll put some private groups, including Community Champions.

The Product category is a place for groups specifically focused on our products. These groups are different from our core forums in that you won’t find technical support or documented answers, you will find like minded users, networking opportunities, and casual conversations.

The Skills category will help you join a cohort of users focused on improving their skills in a specific area, such as event marketing.

This is our freshman class of groups, and we will continue to expand and iterate on these groups throughout 2021.

2. Blogs

In addition to groups, you will now see a new format of content in the Community - blogs. You will see blog content mixed in with our traditional forum style discussions. We’ve introduced the blog content to accommodate content, like this post, that is an announcement or long form content.

We will be using the blog format throughout the Community, including in our new resource center and our Getting Started section.

If you have any questions or feedback regarding these changes, please feel free to share them below.
