Track Conversions from Google Ads to Form Submission
SOLVE
We’re currently running Google Ads to drive conversions to our demo request form.
We have Google Tag Manager set up and the HubSpot pixel added, but conversions aren’t being tracked properly in Google Ads.
We use a scheduling page on our demo request workflow. The process operates as follows:
User lands on demo form
Fills out the form
Presses submit
Gets routed directly to a HS scheduling page
How can we ensure conversions are tracked properly in Google Ads? The google ads module is connected to our Ads module in HS and conversions seem to be tracked this way but it's harded to gauge ROAS in HS versus in Google Ads.
Is there a way to add in a thank you page than route the user to the scheduling page?

Hey there @SPerry2. In addition ti the helpful resources from @BérangèreL, I'd weigh in with a confirmation. While the HubSpot form option to send directly to a scheduling page can be great, I think you're right in thinking about a TYP. I'd use a thank you page between the form submission and the scheduling page. This should increase the accuracy.
Here's what I'd test:
User lands on demo form
Fills out the form
Presses submit
Gets redirected to a thank you page
Either a CTA or an automatic redirect to the HS scheduling page
Then I'use Google Tag Manager to set up conversion tracking on the thank you page. This should ensure that Google Ads records the conversion when a user reaches the thank you page after submitting the form.
Next I'd use HubSpot events to track form submissions and pass this information to Google Ads. This method is often more accurate as it ensures each conversion in Google Ads corresponds to a real contact in HubSpot.
I also saw a tip to implement offline conversion tracking to send data from HubSpot back to Google Ads. In the article I found, it said this would help account for both online and offline sales, enabling more accurate optimization for revenue and profit.
I hope that helps!
