Original source drill-down 1 does not show right campaign

SOLVE

Hi all,

I have question on original source drill - down 1 property. For paid search, it linked with our google ads campaign, however, this property does not show the right campaign name, the name it shown is not the latest one but the one which is already out of date. But if i click into the contact detail, under ad activity session, it will show the right campaign name. How can i fix this? thank you!

In the general table of Contacts show wrong campaign name:

Within the contact info, show right campaign name:

Hi @YLuo2

Thanks for sharing your issue here. I think it would be worth diving deeper into the settings you have set for each platform HubSpot and Google Ads to see if there is anything conflicting in the settings that might be amending the information being captured.

There are a few articles on how HubSpot adds UTM information and tracks the data. I would have a review of them to see if anything obvious shows up:

https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ads/ad-tracking-in-hubspot

https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ads/track-and-report-on-google-ads-in-hubspot

Just to note, HubSpot does amend the original-source property values if they can associate an earlier interaction with your company. For example, a Contact might have interacted with an earlier version of your Ad, or an entirely different Ad weeks ago, but only today clicks on a new Ad and submits a form on your website from a browser with previously set cookies. Therefore the earlier interaction will be captured in the 'Original-Source' properties.

What information is being shown in the Recent or Latest conversion properties?

Do they match your new Campaign Name?

Did you launch the Ads previsouly and have only recently updated the Campaign Name?

Which platform are you creating the ads on, HubSpot for Google Ads?

Please let me know if you have any additional questions on the above.
