We've integrated the LinkedIn pixel within HubSpot, and we're utilizing Google Tag Manager (GTM) to trigger tags for specific events on LinkedIn. We're curious whether we should employ the newer 'LinkedIn InsightTag 2.0' in GTM for event-specific conversions, or if it's necessary to stick with the old 'LinkedIn Insight' tag and image pixel for tracking conversions once we've set up the pixel in HubSpot.
You should use the InsightTag 2.0. This is developed and maintained by LinkedIn. I don't know any specifics, but more tags went to those community templates because they can be updated easier by the developers as opposed to the original system.
As far as the conversion events, I still do a lot of them manually and outside of this tag due to some limitations, but that wouldn't be any different then it was with the old tag.
