Google Ads and HubSpot conversions are inconsistent

In the Google Ads account, there are 12 conversion, but in hubspot, only 2 contacts

Our Google ads conversion is hubspot contact lead

May i know the reason?

Thank you

Google Ads and HubSpot conversions are inconsistent

Hi @JSun2

I'd suggest looking into your Google Ads conversion settings. You might be counting multiple form submissions as conversions. I'd suggest auditing the HubSpot Events & Google Ads Conversion as well, if there's a mismatch in the settings, it's possible you'll see different conversions across the platforms.

Google Ads and HubSpot conversions are inconsistent

Hi, @JSun2 ,

Google Ads conversions can be many things. You could have set up calls to be counted as conversions, as well as form submissions. Therefore, if you had 2 people who submitted a form and 10 who called, I would have expected only the 2 new contacts to be added to Hubspot, yet Google Ads to show 12 conversions.

Could you please check and confirm what you're counting as conversion in Google Ads, so we can review it further?

I hope this helps,

Eli

Google Ads and HubSpot conversions are inconsistent

Hi @elizheleva

Our Google ad conversions only count form submissions, that is, Google ads only convert form submission tracking

That's why we determined there are differences between Google Ads Tracking and HubSpot contacts

We checked the connection settings and it showed everything is active, and there is no any error message, so any solution?

Thank you

Google Ads and HubSpot conversions are inconsistent

Hi, @JSun2 ,

thank you for confirming.

In this case, it is possible that depending on the attribution model, not all leads are counted as expected. Is it possible that those leads are counted as "influenced" as they were on the website before and have come from another channel, and therefore, are not showing up in the Ads report.

A suggestion I have is to create a report based on the "latest source" and "latest source date". It will be a contact-based report and the hypothesis I have is that if you see that there are 12 people in the reviewed period who have the latest source being Paid, then this is where they are and it's an attribution thing. If you don't see that, then we need to look at other reasons.

Would it be useful to have a quick chat about this, as it will be easier to troubleshoot when you share your screen, than guessing without access to the portal and the setup. If so, feel free to book a call with me using the link in my signature.

Thanks,

Eli

Google Ads and HubSpot conversions are inconsistent

Hi @elizheleva

Thanks for your support.

I think there may be a mistake, let me clarify

We use UTM to track leads, and we can see the original source in Hubspot Contact, so we contrasted Google ads account data with hubspot "contacts -> contacts list". And then we found there is a big difference - Many Google ads leads in ad account are not appearing in the hubspot contact list

Therefore, we just want to know all leads will appear in Contacts> contacts list, right?

Is there any possible reason that may affect hubspot tracking, because there are no new leads added in Contacts

I am very happy we can have a call to slove this issue asap, i am sorry, my English is poor. So i hope we can solve it via Q&A

Best Regard

Jane
