Google Ads Reporting

Problem:

We want to be able to see on a list or report the contacts that submit a form after they click an ad, but with some other filters to refine this information.

 

Right now, we can use some criteria to filter these contacts, but it doesn't mean that this was the order in which the actions took place, like ads interactions, occurred, original source, latest source, and so. 

 

We want to do this because we need to report, on a daily basis, the contacts that submit a form because of a Google Ads campaign, that are syncing with the CRM (that's why we need to do this on a list or report).

 

The reports available in HubSpot for Ads is very limited, and also the criteria related to Ads for lists or workflows. Is someone else having this problem? How are you working around it? Thank you!

Hi @MarielaCoronel,

 

Could you specify the filters you're using and where you're encountering limitations?

 

One way to get more accurate paid reports would be to create a duplicate of the landing page that is only used for paid activities while the original is used for all other means of promotion.

Hi Karsten,

 

We have used, in different combinations, original source, latest source, Google Ads campaign ID, form submission. But, for example, there are some contacts that submit a form because they clicked on an ad, but we can't use original source because some of them already existed. Also, we tried using latest source, but there were some contacts that did something else after the interaction with the ad and form submission, so it doesn't work. 

 

I know we can use the reports from Ads, but the problem is that we can't create active lists from them, and we need to filter those contacts, so we can see only the ones that synced with the CRM. 

 

And thank you for your recommendation about the landing pages, we'll consider it.
