Google Ads Conversion Event Not Syncing

We've had an even syncing to Google Ads for new leads that fill out a form. It's been working with no issues since Nov. 2020. The Google Ads account suddenly stopped getting data sometime on the 8th of this month. The conversion in Google ads shows the last data received was the 8th and the HubSpot event shows the last sync was today. There are many new leads coming from Google Ads that filled out forms since. Has anyone else run into this issue?

I have auto tracking on and we aren't using enhanced conversions. We're owned by a bank and there would be a ton of risk assesment before we could do that. The enhanced conversion options are not selected in the event. Would that still cause the sync not to complete?

One possible reason why your ad events may not be syncing is that the Enhanced Conversion API option might not be enabled. It is important for event synchronization. Please make sure to activate the Enhanced Conversion API setting in the Google Ads UI to permit event uploads via the API. 

 

Another potential factor to consider is that HubSpot is only able to attribute contacts to the ads they clicked on once auto-tracking is enabled. Contacts will not be attributed to the ads they clicked on if auto-tracking is disabled. You can find more details in the full article, including steps on how to enable this option.
