Customer match with Google does not work and also no google activity in Contacts
Hi everybody,
i´m having some issues with my connection to Google Ads. Last week i created new conversion actions in Google Ads with OCI via Zapier. What used to work before doesn´t work right now, because the conversions are not being tracked back to Google although the data quality as seen on Google is excellent and conversions are happening.
Another thing i saw is that a couple of weeks ago i could see in my hubspot contacts, that a user came via Google on our site and signed up for example. This could be seen under activity. Now there is no Google activity whatsoever, although there are definitely users coming in via Google.
I have Consent Mode v2 set up and the needed signals are being transmitted. What could be the reason for the missing Tracking of the Google activity?

Hi @PamCotton, unfortunately the installment of the tracking code was not the solution, there is still not any google ads activity tracked and being attributed to the contacts, although the leads are coming in via Google Ads. Do you have any other idea, we can try? How does Hubspot match the info, that a lead came in via Google Ads. It worked before with us and we don´t transmit the gclid. Thank you!

I just noticed, that the hubspot tracking code is no longer on our (new) checkout page, could this be the reason? I thought that it is not necessarily needed, when the matching to Google Ads happens based on email and not on the gclid. Appreciate any help.

Since you mentioned using Zapier to create new conversion actions in Google Ads, it's worth double-checking the integration settings to ensure everything is configured correctly. Sometimes, changes in Zapier or Google Ads settings can affect the data flow.
Also, please verify that the conversion tracking settings in your Google Ads account are properly set up to track conversions from the sources you expect. Ensure that the conversion actions created via Zapier are correctly mapped and attributed.

Thank you Pam. I will double-check the setting, but i am pretty sure, that everything is set up correctly. You can see in the chart below, that Hubspot doesn´t recognize any contacts anymore from Google Ads since March 13th. This should be independent from zapier or the conversion action in Google, am i right? How is the Info about Google Ads-activity reaching hubspot, this is not happening via zapier, right?
