Adapt Facebook URL tracking template - still possible to recognize as paid social?

Hi all,

Hubspot is using a URL tracking template for Facebook as follows:

utm_source=facebook
utm_medium=paid
utm_campaign={name of ad campaign}
hsa_net=linkedin
hsa_ver=3
hsa_acc={accountid}
hsa_cam={campaigngroupid}
hsa_grp={campaignid}
hsa_ad={creative}

I would like to replace the utm_source 'facebook' with {site_source_name}, as we also advertise on Instagram. And replace utm_medium 'paid' with {placement} as this gives us more information on the medium that was used.

My questions are the following. Will Hubspot be able to track this as Paid Social Source? As Hubspot identified Paid Social via the following criteria:

The "utm_medium" parameter contains "paid," "ppc," or "cpc", and the "utm_source" parameter is exactly the name of a recognized social network.

OR

The "utm_medium" parameter contains "paid," "ppc," or "cpc", and the referring domain is a social media site.

OR

The "utm_source" or "utm_medium" contains "paidsocial".

Hello @SBlocq!

If the name is a popular social media, like instagram, HubSpot will be able to catch it and count it. If it's not, HubSpot might not be able to do so.

@RatulRahman But the rule is AND: The "utm_medium" parameter contains "paid," "ppc," or "cpc", and the "utm_source" parameter is exactly the name of a recognized social network.

So the second part might be correct (facebook or Instagram) but the first part will not be correct (it will be the placement, and not paid, PPC, ...)
