Ad Tracking in FareHarbor Lightframes

SOLVE

We're running Google and Meta Ads for our business, which uses FareHarbor for purchases. Purchases are completed through an embedded FareHarbor lightframe (a type of iframe, I believe - I'm not a coder/developer, so I may have that wrong). We have HubSpot tracking added to our website, and we are able to track ad clicks, but we are only able to attribute revenue to the ad clicks if the customer separately fills out a non-purchase form on our website and also makes a purchase with that same email.

We have tried adding the HubSpot tracking code to the FareHarbor lightframe, but it does not track.

I did find this that likely offers an explanation:

Several of these likely apply, like the one about not being able to track forms in an iframe.

Are there any ideas on how to attribute revenue to the ads using HubSpot for customers that do not submit a separate form and also make a purchase using the same email? We had a third party build a custom integration for us to replace Zapier that sends booking/deal information from FareHarbor to HubSpot, but unless the email for the booking is provided separately by the customer, we are not able to track ROI for the ads.

We do have Google and Meta integrated with FareHarbor, and they do not seem to have the same restrictions that appear to prevent HubSpot from tracking the lightframes. Could there be a way to send their tracking information to HubSpot? Could we perhaps map a field from FareHarbor to HubSpot using the integration we already have that sends the booking data aka deals to HubSpot that would bridge this revenue tracking gap?

Thank you!

Caleb

You must use the "hubspotutk" cookie and pass it at all stages of your journey. The cookie allows Hubspot to associate the purchase with the original ad session, even if no form was submitted.

I don't have the details of your route at the code level, and so I don't know if you can actually keep this data, but by keeping this information throughout your procedures, you will be able to unify the actions for the same contact.

Typically, the "utk" or "hs_analytics_cookie" attribute of API requests is used to pass the cookie guid to Hubspot.
