how to change currency formatting

HI. I am new to Hubspot and doing some setup.

I am in Canada. How do I change the currency format so that CA$123,456.78 becomes $123,456.78.

Then I need to change the US Dollar format from $123,456.78 to US$123,456.78.

Hi @MEnright, as of July 2024, I was able to change the currency on my deals following these steps:

1. Go to 'Settings'
2. Under 'Account Management', go to 'Account Defaults'
3. Go to 'Currency' tab
4. On a selected currency, click on 'Actions' > 'Edit company currency'

Thank you for sharing @redirga, it's been possible for quite some time to change the currency for deals, the issue here was that as a Canadian company, @MEnright wanted "CA$" to only show as "$" for their deals, which is still not possible as of today.

Hi @MEnright I've reviewed the HubSpot knowledge base article about adding currencies and double checked in one of my accounts, but from what I can see it's not possible to change the default formatting for the currency.

US will always show as $ and Canadian dollars will always show as CA$.

You could add an idea here for the HubSpot product team to consider making the account default currency show without the regional code.
