I have created 10 custom fields and then deleted 4, which should mean i have 4 to use, but its still limiting fucntionatiliy and wont let me do anything. Ive tried incogneto mode and closing down etc and its still not working, can anyone help?

We need to be able to set default activity association rules for Projects like we can with Companies/Contacts/Deals. Project records can miss required context if associations to emails/calls etc aren't accurately logged.
