Hi, we have a site built in Wordpress using Elementor. All forms on our site are made with Elementor. We have the Hubspot Wordpress plugin installed.
Everything was working correctly for several months. All of our Elementor forms were showing in the forms section of both the wordpress hubspot plugin dashboard as well as our hubspot forms dashboard.
However in the last month, entries/submissions seem to have stopped passing to Hubspot. I reconnected the Hubspot Wordpress plugin, and had two successful test submissions that appeared in Hubspot.
However since those two tests submissions have again stopped passing to Hubspot. Further more, newly created forms are not showing up in the Hubspot dashboard or the Hubspot plugin dashboard. I tried creating a new Elementor form on the site, made a submission, and the new form isn't showing in either the Hubspot dashboard or the Wordpress Hubspot plugin dashboard.
To be clear, all submissions are passing to email without issue, so the forms are definitely working. The issue is Hubspot isn't syncing.

From what I understand, you are trying to connect some non-HubSpot forms, but there are issues with submissions not going through when the v3 reCaptcha is enabled. I was reviewing our documentation and similar cases related to this topic, and I found information that states that our v3 endpoints in the forms API do not accept submissions when reCaptcha is enabled. We suggest turning off this setting to receive submissions via the API for this form.
I totally get where you’re coming from. I ran into a similar issue on a site I managed about why dogs get stuck during mating. We had a bunch of forms on that site, and we noticed that submissions weren’t syncing properly with our CRM. After some digging, we found that reCAPTCHA v3 was causing the problem—forms would work fine and email submissions would come through, but the data wouldn’t sync correctly.
In my case, we had to switch from reCAPTCHA v3 to reCAPTCHA v2 to fix the issue. The v3 version was blocking the data from being sent through properly, probably due to how it handles invisible challenges and scoring. With reCAPTCHA v2, the forms started syncing again without any issues.
So it sounds like you might be dealing with the same problem. I’d recommend contacting HubSpot support to see if they can confirm if reCAPTCHA v3 is causing the trouble or if there’s a fix. In the meantime, using reCAPTCHA v2 should help get your form submissions through to HubSpot as expected. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s a quick workaround to keep things running smoothly.

I just disconnected and reconnected the hubspot plugin again, created a new form and did a test submission. The new form and submission appeared in hubspot.
I also did a test submission to an existing form on the homepage, and this entry passed to hubspot successfully.
However if I try submitting to an existing form on the contact page, it's not syncing to hubspot.. I just tried deleting and recreating the form, and now its passing to hubspot.. Very strange.
First, the Hubspot plugin doesn't actually create any relation to forms. It's simply a way to allow users to add the Hubspot tracking code to their pages and provides an interface to allow you to access Hubspot while still being in wordpress.
What happens in the default Elementor setup is that you are utilizing a feature called non-hubspot forms ( https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/use-non-hubspot-forms ) to pass data. It works like a security camera on a home security system. It sees everyone who walks up to the system and tries to an access code. What it cannot always see is whether or not the submission was successful, or at times, whether it was submitted at all. Or if there hands were covering part of the entry (ie: hidden fields) those cannot be captured either. As a result of how it works it can be inaccurate, and often can be difficult to diagnose and understand why in some instances it works perfectly and others it fails. Personally I try to stray away from it for this reason either recommending hubspot native forms, or forms through a direct integration or third party integration (ie: Zapier).
Without seeing your forms, I can only suspect one of the reasons within the documentation is causing the forms not to the captured. If you are able to share a link to the page in question, we can take a look and let you know what we believe is going on. In addition, you could also reach out to Hubspot support as well to see if they are able to offer ideas what might be causing conflict on the particular forms in question.

If the form has google recaptcha v3 enabled, it doesn't pass the submission on to hubspot (although it does successfully send the submission via email). If I remove the recaptcha v3 OR change to recaptcha v2, the form passes the submission to hubspot.
Is this a known issue regarding recaptcha v3? Is there any way to make recaptcha v3 play nice with hubspot? I don't like the UX of requiring users to check a 'im not a robot' box.

For that I am not certain. I would recommend submitting a ticket to Hubspot to let them answer as if it is supposed to work and is a bug then it may be something they can look into further.
