Hubspot has a "Hubspot for Windows" desktop app. I uninstalled that and all other instances of Hubspot from my laptop, but the Hubspot for Windows login keeps popping up. How can I stop this? It pops up randomly and since I uninstalled it, there's no way to access the app to try toggling the settings.

Stop Hubspot for Windows from popping up
SOLVE
Hi, I got a solution from Hubspot support that worked for me and that was, after ensuring I had uninstalled the program, to remove the remnants. That did the trick for me, se instructions below. Btw, interesting design that they know about this, but do not include it in the uninstallation procedure; does not feel premium, but I am grateful for quick support from them.
Please try deleting the remnants from the article, can you please try
Copy and paste %localappdata%\Apps\2.0 into your Windows Start menu (just hit the windows key and paste the code in bold in there).
From the search results, click to open the folder named 2.0 and delete all contents.
I have looked at this and the solution does not work at all. Hubspot deliberatly locks fille in your system to persuade tyou to stay on board. I found the following actions occurring and cannot delete them:
I am now at the point where I have told my employer I will no longer use HubSpot unless they supply the laptop.

Once you complete this, please restart your Windows machine before installing the add-in again per this documentation.

Thanks! I had tried that yesterday and kept getting a message that wouldn't let me delete the folder or its contents, but I just tried again and it deleted! Crossing my fingers that the program is gone for good. 🙂 Thanks!
You can try to go to the task manager and finished the "HubSpot for windows" task, then go to delete the 2.0 folder 🙂
Hope this helps,
Diana

Hi @LAbernethy I'm not able to reproduce the issue :S
My other recommendation is to clear cookies and cache and do the other 2 steps again.
Hope this helps,
Diana

I have exactly the same problem (I think). I have uninstalled "Hubspot for Windows" but still get popups to sign in. The solutions suggest changes in Internet Explorer and the popup also mentioned Internet Explorer. I have uninstalled IE since long and I cannot find the Hubspot add-in in Outlook.
So, for me the question remains: how do I get rid-of login popups even though "Hubspot for Windows" is uninstalled? Seems your "uninstallation" does not clean up properly.
Welcome to the HubSpot Community, investigating more about it, this usually happens because of the VPN or any software that can be interfering with the computer.

This is kind of a silly response for what is clearly a very annoying bug in hubspot for windows. There's no reason for it to keep prompting for a login after the app has been uninstalled.
Hello @NKundtz thank you for. your feedback. I would like to apologize for the frustrations, data issues, and business impact this has caused. Could you please provide us more details on what is happening on your end? Were you able to follow the steps on this knowldge base here?
Kindly,
Pam

The knowledge base article seems to be associated with keeping hubspot logged in. The problem being highlighted in this thread is that we want Hubspot for Desktop uninstalled - and have, in-fact, uninstalled it - but it contiues to create notifications that eat up large portions of the desktop. A knowledge base article on keeping us logged in seems to be both off-point and in direct contradiction to the problem at hand.
Could you try the steps that @olabil suggested and let us know how it goes?
Thank you!
Best,
Kristen
