we are just getting started with Hubspot and have first challanges with setting it up properly.
We would like to use the function "Book meetings without the hassle", but when we try to connect the modul with out gmail calendar we receive the message "Sorry. There was an issue connecting to your account. This account (XXXXX@gmail.com) is already connected to HubSpot as a team inbox and can't be used for the meetings tool."
Is there any work around or we suddenly need a seperate gmail account to use this feature?
Correct, you can't use the a shared email address for meeting links. You would have to use a different email address. HubSpot expects the personal inbox/calendar of the current user here. Meeting links are generally not supposed to be set up for teams.
The reason for the error that you're seeing is exactly that: Shared inboxes are created for teams, meeting links for individual users. A meeting link only exists with one user's account, it's not shared within a team.
When a meeting link is created, HubSpot establishes an integration with the associated email inbox. Inboxes can only be used either in the personal capacity or shared with a team. If that same email address is already in use for shared purposes, HubSpot won't let you establish that single user action: creating a personal meeting link.
Hope this helps!
