Setting lead to "qualified" automatically pulls up Create Deal card

SOLVE

I am in account settings for the lead object. Under "pipeline rules," there is an option to "require a deal to be created" if the lead is qualified. This setting is currently toggled on, and I don't have the option to turn it off (it's greyed out). Does anyone know why this is? I am a super admin, and can't see any other automation / rules which require a deal to be created.

Hi @Michael_Black ,

Can you please check if your Lead pipeline is tied to a Sales pipeline or has any field dependency set up?

You can check this under:  Settings > Objects > Leads

At my end, I’m able to toggle the “Require a deal to be created” setting on and off, so it might be restricted due to how your pipeline is configured.

Hi @Michael_Black,

Are you seeing a tool tip when moving your mouse over the toggle? There's typically a hint that explains why it's blocked.

If not, then your fastest way to a resolution would be HubSpot support, in-app, via chat or email. With the lead object, you're on a paid subscription and have this technical support included.

Best regards!
