I want to keep using my own domain host for sending and receiving emails. With my previous marketing company, they had to change the MX or TXT records so that I continue to use the email while the DNS was set to them. Since changing to Hubspot I can send mail but not receive. I tried to search, but where can I get Hubspot to change the MX settings for my account so I continue to use the external email and not the Hubspot one. I am currently only needing the website to get people to sign up to my waitinglist.
So i took the 14 day free trial to speak to support and found out you can add the MX record at the DNS level of your domain registrar. So yes solved, make sure you get the details of your mail host.

hey just a question. so instead of updating the mx record at hubspot, you went to your domain registrar there and updated your mx record back to your hosting provider name server?
Hey there @GMollevanger - are you wanting to send emails from a dedicated IP address rather than the shared IP address that's standard as a HubSpot user? Here's a resource that may help.
Hi, no that is not it. I just want to use my own host for sending emails. I can send but not receive since changing my DNS to Hubspot. Previously it meant the place where the DNS is at needs to update their MX/TXT records so it fixes the emails.
I understand that you'd like to connect your sending domain. Let me ask you some clarifying questions to make sure that we have the right context.
Who is your DNS provider, please? Why do you want to change the MX records, did you get an error message? If yes, do you have a screenshot of it, please? Are you trying to send marketing emails or sales emails?
The more info, screenshots (without sensitive/confidential information), and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist.
Did you follow these steps (see articles below), please?
Hi, The opposite, I do not want to send emails via Hubspot, I want to use the webhost I have at the moment. My DNS is setup so it uses Hubspot for my website as I have 2 landing pages, however I have no need to send marketing emails, so prefer to use my webhost email. I can send emails, but receiving is not working. Previously I was with GetResponse, and they had to adjust the MX records so that I could use my host webmail. I found the info about using Hubspot as the email sender, but not what I was looking for. The error on sending was that they could not send. Not much else.
