Reset All Account Data

SOLVE

We had initially looked into HubSpot's free CRM last year but had tabled it due to lack of interest.  Now we are revisiting this product, but we still have junk data in our account from last year's testing.  Is it possible to clear everything (e.g. activity, contacts, companies) without deleting the account?  Thanks in advance.

Hello @Anonymous,

When you select all contacts on the contacts page it will display an option of "selecting all users", more info below:

I hope this helps.

Reset All Account Data

SOLVE

Hi @Arcane,

In addition to deleting all contact, company, deal records, there are a few other things I'd check / delete if you want to start fresh:

Menu > Contacts > Lists (delete lists)

Menu > Sales > Tasks (delete tasks, use dropdown to delete old tasks assigned to users)

Settings > Properties (filter and delete contact, company, deal properties not created by HubSpot)

Especially lists and properties can cause confusion further down the line when it's unclear if they're still to be used or outdated.

Hope this helps!

Hi @ankurp

You can delete the contacts, deals, and company records in the portal by going to the table view of each tool and clicking the check box in the top left hand corner of the table (in the header of the table) and then selecting delete. For a tutorial of how to do this, click here.

You can also create a new free portal if you'd rather start with a fresh CRM.

Thank you,
Jenny
