I'm using HubSpot on Chrome and use Google login to log in. I also use two different devices (but same Google Workspace profile on both). Is there a way to reduce needing to log in all over again every time I switch devices (usually every day)? I find it incredibly annoying as all tabs I have in HS get logged out, and even though I normally don't need to add authentication code, it still takes me out massively out my flow. Can this be reduced?? There's absolutely no reason to log me out especially when I clearly tag "stay logged in" every time. The UX is terrible.
Thanks for sharing your situation—I completely get how frustrating this can be. Currently, HubSpot doesn’t have a direct workaround for this specific issue, but I’ve dealt with similar issues before, and these steps have worked for me to reduce the constant logins:
1.Stay Logged into Gmail Make sure you’re logged into the same Gmail/Google Workspace account that’s linked to your HubSpot on all your devices. This ensures everything stays synced and reduces the chance of getting logged out. 2. Check Your HubSpot Settings
Session Timeout: HubSpot might be logging you out due to inactivity. You can check or extend this setting in Settings > Account Access > Session Timeout to give yourself more time before the session expires.
Limit Logins to Allowed IPs: If this feature is turned on, it might restrict access when switching devices or networks. Double-check that it’s not creating unnecessary hurdles.
3. Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) If your company supports SSO, it’s a game changer. It simplifies logins by allowing you to use one login for all your business software, including HubSpot.
4. Allowed Login Methods Make sure HubSpot’s settings allow the method you prefer (like Google login). You can also double-check other options like passwords, Microsoft login, or even passkeys.
5. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) If your account requires 2FA, ensure it’s set up correctly. Any conflicts there could cause extra logouts.
General Tips
Always select "Stay logged in" when logging into HubSpot.
Avoid logging out manually on any device, as it can end sessions on other devices too.
For me, making sure I’m logged into Gmail consistently and setting up SSO where possible has been the most helpful. I know this doesn’t completely solve the issue, but these steps should help reduce the frequency of logging but It really reduced the frustration of logging in over and over.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need a hand with any of the settings. 😊
