Question About Legacy Quote Eligibility for Sandbox Accounts

Hi team,

According to the official documentation, legacy quotes can only be used for accounts created before September 3rd, 2025. I would like to confirm whether this restriction also applies to sandbox accounts.

Here’s my situation:

• My main production account was created before September 3rd, 2025, and I can currently use the legacy quote feature without any issues.

• However, I created a sandbox environment in November, which is obviously after the cutoff date.

So I’d like to ask:
👉 Does this mean the sandbox environment is not eligible to use legacy quotes, even though the parent production account qualifies?
👉 Or are sandbox accounts supposed to inherit the legacy quote eligibility from the production account?

I want to make sure whether the limitation is tied to the environment creation date or the original parent account creation date.

Legacy quotes do not inherit eligibility from the production account.
Eligibility is determined per environment, and sandbox environments are treated as new, separate accounts for feature-sunsetting rules.

Clarification

HubSpot’s legacy quote access is based on the creation date of the specific environment, not the parent account.

This means:

1. Production account created before Sept 3, 2025

You keep access to legacy quotes.

2. Sandbox created after Sept 3, 2025

The sandbox is treated as a separate account with its own creation timestamp, which falls after the cutoff.
Therefore, sandboxes created after the cutoff cannot use legacy quotes, regardless of the parent account’s eligibility.

Conclusion

The limitation is tied to the environment creation date, not the original production account creation date.
Your sandbox will not support legacy quotes.

If you need equivalent functionality inside the sandbox, you must use the modern Quotes tool.

Since sandbox portals reflect the production environment, we should be able to enable Legacy Quotes in your sandbox as long as your production portal was created before September 3rd.
