In the old Hubspot format version I was able to add in a Product info tag (heading) which allowed me to add products in a pull down list for each prospective client.
By using this product identifier for each prospective client, I am able to filter contact names by product for follow up or marketing.
I have been unable to modify this list to add in a new product item.
What is the process of doing this with the new HubSpot format?
Hi Larry, yes here are some steps for you to add more options to your "Product Interest" custom property on your contacts. Stay away from the Product Library, you are editing your custom property (which happens to list products too) 🙂
Here are your steps:
Go to HubSpot Settings > Properties
Select "Contact Properties" (it should be selected by default)
Search the properties for your "product interest" property
Click the name of that property to edit the details
On the "Field Type" screen, scroll down and click "+ Add Option"
Enter the LABEL and INTERNAL NAME
You can change the Label later but the Internal Name cannot be edited, so try and make it similar to the other options shown
You can also delete options that you no longer need, but only if there are zero contacts who have that value.
Hit Save at the top-right and you are done!
Now you can select more products of interest on your contacts.
Yes I am trying to add an item to the product list
It is not on a quote or a bill. I use the product list to help in filtering my prospect list for sales follow ups.
I am not using custom quotes.
There is no error message. I am just not able to add or adjust the product list in any way.
I have attached a photo of the product list which I had generated in the older HubSpot format but which I am now not able to manipulate in any way that i can find.

As Berangere has asked for, we would like more clarity regarding your use of Products or Line Items.
I assume you are saying that your product library was arranged in folders, so when you add products as Line Items in a Deal or a Quote, you could select the folder of products and choose the ones you need.
If my assumption is right, here are some tips:
The Product Library used to have a folder structure but was enhanced to be more like other objects with its management page on the Commerce Hub menu. There you can arrange your products in many ways using Views
Then when you add line items to a deal or a quote, you can see "All Products" or view the "Views" tab and select any of the views you created in "Commerce Hub > Products" as above.
Views are much more flexible than folders.
I hope my guess was somewhat close, and I hope these tips help!
Hi @RAWBiochem and welcome to the Community! We are so glad you are here!
Great question, thanks for asking the Community!
I'd like to ask some clarifying questions to make sure we help you the best we can:
1. You are tying to add line items. Please let me know if that's not the case. 2. Where are you trying to edit or add a line item. Is it on a quote? 3. Are you using custom quotes? 4. When you were not able to edit or add a line item, did you get an error message? If yes, which one?
