Notification for the "Assign Company Owner to Contact by Default" Setting

Hi everyone,
We have the "Assign company owner to contact by default" setting turned on in our account, but I've been told that it does not send notifications when the automation is triggered.
Is there a setting I can configure to notify a user when they have been assigned a contact through this setting? I can create a workflow if need be but was wondering if there was an easier way to achieve this.

Hi Karsten, thanks for the insight. Do you know how I'd go about setting up a workflow for this? I don't need to notify users any time a contact is assigned to them (because we already have avenues of notifying them, and I don't want to inundate them with duplicates notifications); I only need to notify them when they've been assigned a contact through this specific setting.
