Meeting automatically has Google Meet link added - need to turn off

This is kind of several questions in one, but I'll start with the main one. We operate on Google Workspace, so I have my Google calendar integrated with Hubspot. When someone creates a meeting using my meeting link (just testing myself so far), it automatically creates a Google Meet link. However, I want it to not include any virtual platform link initially. 

The second part of this is I'm wondering if there's any way for the customer to choose the platform. I can set that up in Calendly, but Hubspot doesn't appear to have that capability. The workaround I've come up with is to add a question to the meeting form asking what platform they prefer, and then I'll add the link when the meeting comes through. And that's why I don't want the google meet link added automatically.

So I think you can remove this default in Google Workspace or here on the actual meeting:

As for the platform of their choice, that's not possible and the workflow you've described (although it's manual) is the best way.

unfortunately, we've got the same problem. Our meetings should take place via zoom, however, in the calendar a Google Meet link is provided so both us and our customers end up confused all the time. 
How have you managed to fix this?

Had to convince the team it would be easier to remove Meet as the default, but eventually was able to do it. It's made things much easier!

Thanks! After more digging it does look like its a workspace setting, so I'll need to try to get that changed.
