Matching fonts throughout email templates

SOLVE

I'm unable to create consistency in fonts between the body of my email templates and the text that populates from the personalization tokens I use. Below, I have "Contact: First Name" populate as a different font than the remainder of the email, hurting my email quality / looking like a mass email rather than a personalized email:

It seems like this may be tied to the inconsistency between the font selections in different parts of Hubspot, where the dropdowns differ:

I have "sans-serif" in my email settings' Branding:

Then I have "Sans Serif" in my Account Management --> Account Defaults section.

Any guidance on conforming fonts in my emails would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @TBarrett4,

I have run across this issue myself as well! I find that the fix is to save the email, and go back to the email management tool. Open up the email again, and highlight your personalization tokens in the text editor.

From there, set your font size, spacing etc to match the rest of your email.

This should mean that within the personalization token, it will follow your email layout requirements.

Save the email, and try another preview. I hope this helps!

I see! I was assuming this was for Marketing Email - my apologies. This is for 1:1 email templates.

In testing this out in the Template editor, I have the functionality to highlight and edit the text as mentioned earlier. I am also on Chrome, so I would assume this is an issue that is unrelated to browser.

If you have access to HubSpot Support I would recommend reaching out to them as they may be able to look at this in more detail for your particular account.

Madison, this is not working for me. Is the email management tool a specific feature in Hubspot? I couldn't find that and have been using the Edit Template tool in Hubspot. I highlighted all of the text and selected the Sans Serif and font size, and I am still seeing the font change below in standard template text:

Also, different fonts here between token and standard text:

I also do not have a preview tool, and my interface appears to all be the same font, but in my inbox / outbox shows the differential.

Also, many times when I highlight the font and go to the font bar, it deselects the text so I can't modify it. Not sure if this is an issue with Chrome
