Still present on the left after having made the contact and selected it, but the box is gone after yesterday when making the new contact. Signing out and closing the window has done nothing to fix it? Does anyone know how to fix this glitch? It surely cannot be a purposeful change, at least for me it either makes my workrate significantly slower or my contacts unorganised and less efficient to find the right people. Thanks

Another user in your portal might have changed this. You can check in the settings and re-add the property: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/set-up-fields-seen-when-manually-creating-records
