Hello, since I've connected my email, Hubspot is only able to send emails from this address however, the Inbox Automation feature is not working. The feature shows turned on (green) with the slider, and I've tried to reset it a few times without any luck. My business email is with privateemail and uses IMAP+SMTP.
Try connecting your privateemail.com account to an email client like Outlook or Thunderbird using the same IMAP/SMTP settings. It can rule out a server-side issue.
Also, check HubSpot Permissions. Go to Settings -> Inbox -> Automation and ensure the correct inbox is selected for automation. If you have multiple connected accounts, HubSpot sometimes prioritizes one over the other.
I have tried all of the recommendations you provided (disconnected reconnected, changed the password retried) however, the inbox automation is still not working.
Privateemail has also confirmed that all the SMTP/IMAP settings are configured correctly as they are by default.

This happens sometimes. Just check these things, hope it helps you:
First, check if IMAP is fully enabled in your privateemail.com settings, as some providers require manual activation for third-party apps. If privateemail.com supports App Passwords, try generating one instead of using your regular password.
Next, disconnect and reconnect your email in HubSpot settings (General -> Email -> Connected Accounts) to force a resync. Also, make sure Allow HubSpot to track replies is enabled. Double-check that your IMAP and SMTP server settings match privateemail.com’s recommended configuration, as incorrect settings can prevent proper syncing.
Some providers block third-party apps from accessing certain mailbox folders, so ensure HubSpot has access to the Inbox folder in your IMAP settings. If the issue persists, try connecting to a different email provider (Gmail or Outlook) to see if automation works there. If it does, the issue is likely specific to privateemail.com’s IMAP restrictions.
