I don't see in hubspot emails sent from gmail using my email alias
SOLVE
Hi,
I have a main Google Worskpace account that I use to login to hubspot.
I have a gmail alias that I use in gmail to send some of my emails.
I configured that address in hubspot (Settings > Your Preferences > General > Email > Current Email Aliases)
I sent emails from gmail to a Contact (Steven) that is already defined in Hubspot.
I expected to see those emails in Steven's Contact page.
What I see, however is different.
For emails sent using gmail using my main gmail address, I see in hubspot both the email activity and the recepient's open. This is correct and as expected.
For emails sent using gmail using my alias gmail address, I DO NOT see in hubspot the email activitity but I do see the opening.
Why is that the case and how do I fix this problem?

Thank you so much for your reply. I see that I can send from hubspot an email and select the From field to be either my primary or my aliased gmail address. What I needed was to be able to capture in hubspot those emails that a contact sends to my aliased gmail address, because those emails did not show. I found a config switch in the hubspot extension for gmail that was off. I believe that when I put it on (i.e., as it is shown now in the pic below), it started to synchronize in hubspot those emails sent from my alias gmail address too. [image: image.png] Maybe this would be helpful to others too.
It seems that you have configured your email alias in Hubspot but you are not able to see the email activity for emails sent using your alias gmail address. This might be because you have not added the alias to your Gmail account before connecting the inbox. When you connect your Gmail account to HubSpot, HubSpot automatically detects the Gmail alias and adds it as a From address. You can select the Gmail alias in the From dropdown menu in the email composer

@ASchoijett in the resource I know of, adding the alias to Gmail first, then selecting it in HubSpot will work to track them. It looks to me in the documentation that you can choose the alias in HubSpot, so I'm not sure that sending from the alias in Gmail directly has the same expected behavior. This community thread seems to corroborate.
"Creating an alias for your work email does not allow you to integrate it with HubSpot. Only Google and Outlook 365 inboxes can be integrated with HubSpot. Creating an alias for your work address under your Gmail account allows you to send email from the HubSpot CRM with your work address in the From field, but the inbox is not actually integrated with HubSpot."
Finally, this thread seems to agree as well - it works when sending frm HubSpot, but not grom Gmail.
So I'd see if there's Support that can help. Or maybe @kvlschaefer can help?
