Hubspot Logs Me Out Continuously

Hi there,
Hubspot automatically logs our users out after a couple of hours of inactivity, which is very annoying. Can anyone help me figure out what the best practice is here?

Thanks,

Miguel

Hi @miguelelias,

Could you share a bit more context about your setup?

  • Are you in control of your environment or is it managed by your IT? If the latter is the case, have you confirmed that they have not specified session timeouts centrally?
  • Are you using a supported browser? https://knowledge.hubspot.com/account-security/browsers-supported-by-hubspot
  • Have you cleared cache and cookies and disabled all browser extensions to check whether these are interfering with session behavior?
  • Upon login, have you selected "Remember me"?

Best regards

@miguelelias thank you for that added context - in that case, I'd recommend clearing cache/cookies and disabling browser extensions to confirm there is no interference there. If the issue persists, it is not extension / cache related. If it doesn't, you would enable extensions one by one to check if the issue reoccurs to identify the culprit.

@miguelelias an ad-blocker will not automatically generate this issue of being logged out. However, certain extensions might cause this. The only way to find out is to disable all extensions, monitor how it's going, then turn them back on one by one.

But also, extensions must always be disabled so that we are not logged out?

@miguelelias no, but there might one extension that is in conflict with HubSpot, especially adblockers, anti-tracking extensions but also any extension really could be the culprit. You want to find out which one it is to decide if you want to keep it on (and accept the constant logging out) or not - if it is due to an extension.

Thanks, will do.

Just to clarify, the problem is not about the Hubspot extension, is with Hubspot itself.
