How can I move the navigation menu to top from left?

SOLVE

It will definitely take some getting used to @HollyRemaly, it hasn't fully rolled out to all accounts, it might be worth dropping feedback directly from your account (there should be a prompt to leave feedback for the navigation when you interact with it)

How can I move the navigation menu to top from left?

SOLVE

I just managed to switch back but I don't think it will be permanent...

How does it work?
You can enable the refreshed navigation at any time by clicking on “Switch to the refreshed navigation” in the global toolbar.

On May 14th, if you're still using the existing navigation, we will switch your experience to the refreshed navigation. If you temporarily need to return to the original, no problem – you can do that until May 28th when we will retire the existing navigation.

Click on the Profile menu (to the right of your name at the top right of any HubSpot page).
Select “Switch to the original navigation”.
Please share your thoughts about the refreshed experience and why you chose to switch back via the survey.
Please note: This selection only affects the navigation for you and not the entire account.

Actions that used to take 1 click now take 3 or 4. All for half an inch more space at the top of the screen? Awful.

Nobody is impressed with these changes. I don't even believe it is a case of getting used to it. Production levels have fast subsided, resulting in slower productivity. I am considering going back to Pipedrive if I can be bothered with the hassle of switching.

Not to thrilled with this change. It sure would be nice to leave users with the option to switch to top navigation. I hope that is someting HS will reconsider.

For a application that loves using sidenavs in order to display information, create records, search for records, etc., you would think HubSpot would've realized their view width is much more valuable than their view height.

Combine that fact with the fact that sidenavs have always, and will always, take up more area than dropdowns, and this overall was a horrible UI redesign.  Hopefully HubSpot allows users to stay on the current system, but unfortunately money and reputation is invested in these projects, leading companies to stick with bad change to justify the project.

I don't believe it. I've gone back in today to find that the option to switch back to the original view has gone in favour of "Learn about the new navigation". Hubspot, why are you not taking on board the abundance of negative feedback about the change from your users?

I give up

How can I move the navigation menu to top from left?

SOLVE

There is a message on my menu advising that on May 28th the original menu will no longer be available so it might have been turned off. I still have the old menu style having switched back before. I'm just hoping HubSpot are taking note of the feedback and aloow us keep the old version or switch back again.

Please, Please make it so we can switch back permentantly!  Not sure why anyone thought the left panel is increasing productivity, it is doing the opposite.

Thanks!
The top used navigation is way better so I hope you will enable users to
choose this also in the future.

Your so right, it's horrific. The difference it makes in efficiency is unreal. I hope they take note of the feedback. I haven't come across 1 person as yet who favours the change.

I also like to keep things on top an be able to decide what I see there and in what order.

There is no best way for all but always a best way for each user and I hope you will approach it like that.

Did you find a solution to this? The nav on the left side is extremely cumbersome and it makes things extremely difficult if we have to use it in split screen mode. Less space and more cramped. Would prefer it up top like it used to be.

Agreed. There are so many simple functionality updates that would actually improve the tool, (e.g. better organization of sales templates? Smart content on HUbDB tables? Better salesforce task integration?)

Why is this something that was prioritized? I struggle to understand why this is an improvement.

@Plum as far as I know, it's not possible to switch back to the top nav - I know they're working on an option to expand/collapse the sidebar to give you space back, not sure when that will be available.
