Exporting User List with Seat Assigned

I've tried to export our User list from Settings, and even though in a knowlege base article is says you can export the seat assigned to each user, when I export it, that information doesn't show.  It will show the Team(s) and Permission Set assigned but then if the user is Deactivated.  After that though it's only export a field which I don't have on my screen which is "Paid Seat" which is a "yes" / "no" entry.  The Seat information does not show up.  Even if I try to filter my user list to just show a specific seat, when I'm exporting I don't get the filtered results, but the full list...  

What am I missing?

The export function should, according to the knowledge base, but it doesn't seem to provide the specific "Seat Assigned" information you're searching for. The "Paid Seat" column is different from the real seat assignment, although it can be used as a stand-in. Furthermore, because the export exports the complete list regardless of the filters applied, filtering the user list has no impact on the export. You might need to contact support to see if there is a more recent guide or upgrade for this capability.

It seems the export feature doesn't include the specific "Seat Assigned" data you're looking for, even though the knowledge base suggests it should. The "Paid Seat" field may be a substitute, but it's not the same as the specific seat assignment. Filtering the user list also doesn’t affect the export, as it exports the full list regardless of filters applied. You might need to contact support or check if there’s a newer guide or update for this functionality.

Hey @BMcGee! Great callout. This export does include the assigned Seats, but it is listed in the permissions column details. See a screenshot of an export I made from my account: 

For example, the first user in the list has a Sales Enterprise seat and a Service Enterprise seat.

Thanks for the reply!  I see what you're referring to, but if want to sort or filter by the seat, it's pretty hard to do so.  In my opinion it should be export like the columns are laid out on your view in settings, which is similar to other exporting functions for Deals, etc.

I agree, @BMcGee! I can absolutely see the value of changing how this exports -- I encourage you to consider creating a post on our Ideas Forum here. If you find a similar idea, give it an upvote and share your unique use case in the comments.

For now, it may be possible to filter the cells in the export to see if they contain professional or enterprise values.
