The nonprofit I work for has been implementing our email signatures via Hubspot's free email signature tool for the past 8+ months but last week noticed that the uploaded logo no longer appears. I tried uploading new versions/image addresses of the logo to the signature tool and am still getting an error message. A screenshot of the error can be viewed here:
I am also having the same issue. The images are not being uploaded to the signature template creator. They could have made this very simple by just uploading directly here from the computer. Very unfortunate since I spent some time using the platform trying to create this.
Everything was working great. Now all of sudden the images that were working fine, are not working from either Dropbox or Google Drive. It seems to me Hubspot is creating this problem on purpose to force it's users to upgrade their subscription in order to use the File Management feature. Very unethical and typical of companies offeirng free serivces and finding ways to force users to upgrade by making simple code changes. Super dissapointed in Hubspot.
@edmundk33 the issue is not on HubSpot's side, it has to do with changes Google made to the accessibility of images from Google Drive. I believe the same is true for Dropbox.
Being able to add files to HubSpot doesn't require a paid subscription, are you sure you have permissions to access files?
replies and solutions prior to May 2025 were as a member of the community and are not an official response as an employee of HubSpot
Have done all your above suggestions, but nothing works. It was working fine. It seems like Hubspot is trying to create this problem on purpose so we are forced to upgrade in order to use the File Management feature. Very unethical.
Hi there did you ever get this resolved? I have tried uploading in Dropbox, Google Drive and even Hubspot Documents but nothing is working. We are trying to use this to create Email Signatures for our Company so I cant say it has worked in the past and was thinking I was doing something wrong.
Yes, I did get it resolved, not through the Hubspot Signature creation system. I simply created my signature in Gmail and copied the HTML code and pasted it in the Hubspot signature editor.
Hubspot claims the Google Drive AND Dropbox have changed their policy and that is why images are not being pulled by the Hubspot Signature creator. I simply don't buy that as everything else that I use from Google Drive and Dropbox seem to be working perfectly fine.
